Category: Audio Circuits / Musical & effects Views: 4317 Rank: 0 These two projects , Wah and Fuzz, are the results of a modification to a Morley dual channel volume control pedal that one of my sons suggested I undertake as He had no use for the volume unit but thought I could modify the pedal into a Wah unit. I decided later to add a Fuzz circuit and combine the two into a single switchable unit as described further on. Not being one to re-invent the wheel, I downloaded several circuits from the Internet and after breadboarding severals I chose the original Morley circuit as it had the best sound and was using an LDR/LED control which simplified its construction.Using the phase shifting design with an op-amp sounds very close to the inductor type Wah circuit but with no up and down variation like the pedal allows . I concentrated on the triggering aspect of the LED/LCD to try and produce a varying attack and de visit page. Related circuits The heart of the circuit is IC2, a 50240 top-octave generator. That device uses a single input-frequency to generate all twelve notes of the musical scale. The input signal is provided by IC1, a 4001 quad 2-input NOR gate. Two sections of that IC are used to form an oscillator that runs at... The electronic bagpipe mimics the sound of real instruments. This circuit uses two UJT oscillators and an amplifier (Q3, Simplified Analog Input Schematic This schematic represents the input circuitry for a single input. This circuit is a track and hold. The idea is that the input waveform may reach a peak at any instant as the drummer strikes the pad. When that occurs, the capacitor is charged to the peak... None of the components are particularly critical in value or quality, as distortion is the sole object IC3 acts as an oscillator which operates if the output of ICl is high. With the values used the two frequencies produced are about 800 Hz and 2500 Hz. The output is buffered by Ql which drives the speaker. The first IC is used to generate the tone duration and the time interval between beats. The... Space Age Sound Machine Circuit The space-age sound device uses a 556 dual-times IC to produce a phasor sound. That IC is actually two 555 timer ICs in one 14-pin package, as shown in the schematic. Each timer inside the 556 is connected iri an astable multivibrator mode. The first timer has its frequency set by Kl, R2, and... I aimed to copy the sound rather than the vintage circuit. Easy to build, low current consumption, no signal level changes on bypass, quiet and, most importantly, it does that Bridge of Sighs thing. The decoder is intended to be a reference quality prototype with maximum flexibility for experimental use with different speaker layouts. A new improved version has been added at the end. There are two main sections to the instrument. The UHJ decoder board, amb02 accepts 'stereo' UHJ sources and... Pedalboard - How to order my guitar pedals & stompboxes! FX Chain Perfected!
