Based on the classic Baxendall tone control circuit, this provides a maximum cut and boost of around 10dB at 10K and 50Hz. As the controls are passive, the last transistor provides a slight boost. The output is designed to feed an amplifier with input impedance of 10k to 250k. Both tone controls should be linear potentiometers. visit page.

Ic-preamplifier-tone-control

The circuit is a form of the so-called ""Americanized" version of the Baxandall negative-feedback tone control. At very low frequencies, the reactance of the capacitor is large enough that they might be considered open circuits, and the gain is controlled hy the bass potentiometer. At low to...

Tone-control audio amplifier

The circuit makes excellent use of the high slew rate, wide bandwidth, high input impedance, and high-output voltage capability of the CA3140 BiMOS op amp. The wideband gain of this circuit is equal to the ultimate boost or cut plus one, in this case a gain of eleven.

Cascade bandpass filters for higher Q

Switched-capacitor filters that are preset for a given bandwidth sometimes do not deliver the bandwidth or Q an application requires. By inverting the clock between two switched-capacitor bandpass filters, such as the MSFS1 from Mixed Signal Integration Corp, you can configure a high-Q filter...

Tone Control

This simple tone control can be used in may audio applications. It can be added to amplifers, used as a stand alone control module, or even built into new and exciting instruments. It`s one IC construction makes it a very compact circuit, as only a few support components are required. Plus, it...
