Category: Automation Circuits / Motor Control Circuits Views: 4353 Rank: 0 The simplest of all motor controllers (besides a straight on/off switch) is the contactor controller. Aaron designed this contactor controller for use in his electric scooter project . It is based around three 12V relays, two 12V batteries, two switches and of course a motor. Having no silicon to `fry`, it is quite reliable and robust. A contactor controller works by rearranging the two (or more) supply batteries between series and parallel. This gives the motor a slow speed (batteries in parallel, current adds) and a fast speed (batteries in series, voltage adds). This assures that both batteries are discharged equally. When the circuit is `at rest`, the batteries are connected in parallel, which allows easy recharging. visit page.

The circuit includes an optoelectronic pickup device. whichis placed inside the motor housing to provide a speed feedback signal. The circuit automatically maintains the speed of the motor... Programming the Automatic Fan Speed Control Loop The ADT7460/ADT7463 have a local temperature sensor and two remote temperature channels that may be connected to an on-chip diode-connected transistor on a CPU. These three temperature channels may be used as the basis for automatic fan speed control to drive fans using pulsewidth modulation... This is a reasonably nice design. Nu-based stepper motor drive circuit Here`s a different layout of the NuStepper circuit diagram, with traces and other components overlaid on the 74AC86 chip diagram:The four boxes in the lower right corner (Yl / Bk / Or / Bn) represent the pins on the stepper motor plug, and the corresponding colors of the stepper motor`s wires.The... Solar-powered motor runs on 10 nA Designs for solar-powered applications with low-duty-cycle requirements can often rely on capacitors for energy storage in place of less reliable batteries. Typical applications include solar positioning, telemetry transmitters, chemical pumps, data loggers, and solar-powered toys. The circuit in... You can drop all off the transistors and resistors if your motors don`t drain too much current. You only need a 74F139 or 74S139 NOT the LS version. The chip can provide peak currents up to 100mA for a short time (<1 second) and to one output at a time. This is for normal connections. I... The system utilizes the H21A1 and a chopper disc to provide superior speed regulation when the dynamic characteristics of the motor system and the feedback system are matched to provide stability. The tachometer feedback system illustrated was designed around specific motor/load combinations and... Increasing the High Speed Torque of Bipolar Stepper Motors To successfully follow a velocity profile, a motor and drive combination must generate enough torque to: accelerate the load inertia at the desired rates, and drive the load torque at the desired speeds. While the size of a bipolar stepper motor generally dictates the low speed torque, the... How to do Electrical Troubleshooting of Electrical Motor Control Circuit
