A 2001 monte carlo. the only thing that will work is the lights. no radio no wipers noturn signals, none of the dash lights will come on when you turn the key on, i was told that my computer systym was out of sync. how would you go about resetting this systym. I have checked all fuses, and i have no power to the ignition sw. the headlights and brakes. i have the ignition out of the dash but its still hooked up

theres about 10wires, ichecked all of them with a test lite You should have power all the time at the red wires (Circuit 42) at both connectors. Here is the schematic that shows the fuse, and the diagram of its location. Please verify that you have found and checked this fuse, and actually checked both sides for power, with either a test lights or a multimeter. If there is power coming into and out of the fuse, we will be chasing a bad wire or connection between that fuse and the ignition switch.
