Very Low Noise Pick-up Preamplifier

The preamplifier was designed to signal sources such as low-impedance moving coil cartridges (MC) on turntables high fidelity (and yet still there). The impedance of the amplifier is 100 W. To keep the noise levels low, three double-type transistors MAT03 SSM2220 or linked together to form a differential amplifier. Connecting this amp in front of an operand (OR27) is reduced to very low levels in noise input of the latter. The connections of the bases of the amplifier's.....

PC Temperature Meter

This is a four-channel temperature measurmet adapter that works without external power supply. It will suitable for measureing temperature and logging its data with a PC. The circuit diagram is very simple and no adjustment is required, everybody will able to build it with ease. I chose an Atmel ATtiny15L for this project. It is the only device that has a built-in 10bit A-D converter in the 8 pin AVRs. The A-D converter has a bandgap reference and differencial amplifire.....

8 channel LCD Teperature meter ( RS232 - AT90S2313 )

This is the fully featured, jammed packed temperature readout unit. I can measure temperature from up at 8 DS1820 digital temperature sensors all on the same 1-wire bus. That's right only 3 wires are needed to go to all the temperature sensors, GND, VCC and 1-wire data. All sensors will connect to the same cable! Anyone who has used the DS1820's will know that each DS1820 sensor will have a 48bit serial number that is used to address the sensors. With this unit the.....

no image available Simple MIDI interface tester

I designed a simple sinewave generator based on a Analog Devices AD9832 chip. It will generate a sinewave from 0.005 to 12 MHz in 0.005 Hz steps. That`s pretty good, and definitely good enough for me ! But while waiting for the AD9832 chip to arrive, I came up with a very simple version of the DDS synth, using just the 2313 and a resistor network. It`s controlled over RS232 from a small Windows program, and can generate Sine-, Sawtooth-, Trangle- and Sqare-waves ranging.....

Wireless Lan for AVR microcontrollers

The page is about equipping an Atmel AVR microcontroller based system with a Prism WLAN interface. This document is intended for people that already have experiences with the AVR microcontrollers and teaches them how to add a cheap but flexible WLAN interface to your AVR projects. At least two other approaches exist to accomplish this. Both of them are using the similar Prism chip based WLAN cards. But none of these projects is fully documented nor fully working. The.....

AVR Microcontroller Digital Clock with ATtiny2313

Usually we see Digital clock on LCD or 7 segmen. But, this AVR Digital Clock which is designed by Ficara Emilio displayed on Oscilloscope. The project use ATtiny 2313 as the main controller. What an interesting microcontroller project. Source code and schematic available for download....

no image available Downloader V2.1 for 89C51/89C52/89C55WD

I got many mail asking for modification the Easy-Downloader V2.0 for the 89C55WD. They told me that ATMEL stop production the 89C55. They make 89C55WD instead. Also a friend from Brazil sent me two 89C55WD. I think better modify the easy V2.0 for such chip. After reading ATMEL datasheet, I checked different between 89C55 and 89C55WD. Here is what I get...

Java virtual machine for the Atmel AVR ATmega8

The NanoVM is a java virtual machine for the Atmel AVR ATmega8 CPU, the member of the AVR CPU family used e.g. in the DLR Asuro robot, manufactured by AREXX engineering. With the NanoVM, the Asuro can be programmed in the popular Java language using the standard Sun JDK. The NanoVM and its tools are distributed under the GPL and can be used on other AVR based systems as well. Some AVRs like e.g. the ATmega8 that comes with the Asuro are delivered preprogrammed to the user......

church bell with timer and LCD

This circuit is a church bell controller. Basic component is an ATmega32 microcontroller. At the circuit 2 24LC32 eeprom memories is being used, the 1st for internal standard melodies and the 2nd one is for user's compositions. This feature will be provided in the future. As control I created a menu who will be appeared on 4x20 LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). The menu browsing can be done by 6 buttons at the face of the circuit's box (Menu, Up, Down, Enter, Start, Stop). The.....

Ponyprog for AVR & PIC16F84

All resistors are 1/4W.The circuit is powered by 9...15V DC or AC. When In Circuit Programming (ISP) connectors are used, is possible the programmer to be powered from target?s power source. Diodes D2 and D6 protect the regulator LM7805, when target?s power is used. ?PIC JUMP? is used to switch between Microchip?s PIC and ATMEL?s microcontrollers. With jumper ON only PIC can be programmed, while OFF can program ATMEL?s microcontrollers. If you don?t need to program PICs,.....

Ponyprog for AVR

On board the AVRs that can be programmed are those in the schematic. For other members of AVR family or the rest programmable ICs that Ponyprog can program, there is the J1 connector (CON10) which allows expanding the programmer's hardware. See Ponyprog's site for other's ICs Ponyprog circuits. The JUMP1 jumper is there to connect the crystal's circuitry to the 8-pin AVRs or to disconnect it. Some AVRs have internal RC oscillator and an external XTAL is not allowed or.....

Capacitance Meter (AT90S2313)

The integration circuit can be simplified like shown in the circuit diagram. The threshold voltage is generated by divider registers. It seems not stable to valiation of supply voltage however the charge time is not affected by the supply voltage. You will able to find that voltage terms can be erased when apply formure 2, VC1/E term is dtermined by only divide ratio. This advantage is the essence found in the NE555 timer IC. Ofcourse the supply voltage must be steady.....

Mini PC Digital Oscilloscope

This is a portable oscilloscope adapter that it can be held in breast pocket. Its operation is only sampling and sending to host PC. The most of functions of the oscilloscope are processed by host PC. Therefore, oscilloscope adapter can be simplified. This oscilloscope adapter using a TMP47P242VN 4bit microcontroller for acquisition control. But it is difficult to obtain and to programm personaly, so that I recommend to replace the microcontroller with any other.....

no image available Countermeasures

This is another project which fullfills a need. I once built a frequency counter using plain TTL chips. That was long before the CMOS HC versions, even before LS was available. It could measure up to 50 MHz and worked quite okay, but the TTL chips was extremely power hungry. I think there was about 20-25 TTL chips on that monster. Well, but the old counter is now somewhere in the shed, and as I now again needed a counter, I did a bit more modern design...
