Telecom Converter Circuit
The circuit supplies 1 A at +5 V from the -48 V supply commonly used in telephone equipment. More: The National Semiconductor LM2575 is a simple switching regulator.
The circuit utilizes the National Semiconductor LM2575, which is a step-down (buck) switching...
electronic circuit breaker
A circuit breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to detect a fault condition and, by interrupting continuity, immediately discontinue electrical flow....
RFI-Free Ringer Generator Works Off Single 5-V Supply
A simple yet effective circuit to generate a POTS-compatible ringing voltage can be constructed using National Semiconductor's LM4871 audio amplifier IC along with a dozen passive components. This circuit produces a sine-wave output of 1 W at approximately 70 V...
Telephone Audio Interface Schematic
Audio can be extracted from a telephone line using a transformer and a capacitor to isolate the line from external equipment. A non-polarized capacitor is placed in series with the transformer line connection to prevent direct current from flowing through...
Protection For Telephone Line Circuit
A long time ago, when telephones were simple and reliable from an electrical standpoint, telecom operators installed surge protection on all telephone lines at risk from storms. Paradoxically, as modern technology has led to the use of delicate and expensive...
GPZ spike Detector
This circuit detects voltage spikes around 18V and is designed to identify when a battery becomes disconnected on a running motorcycle. When this disconnection occurs, the voltage regulator cannot maintain a steady output, resulting in significant voltage fluctuations. Although the...
Remote Control Circuit Using KT3170
This circuit enables the switching on and off of appliances through telephone lines. It allows for the control of appliances from any distance, overcoming the limitations of infrared and radio remote controls. The circuit can manage up to nine appliances,...
A multi-purpose radio talk lamp circuit
The Ai. A2 series operates with a telephone line, where sound anomalies or off-hook currents activate a light within an arc tube, which in turn triggers a photosensitive MOSFET. This process involves a saturated conduction base voltage that sends a...
Audio interface for Telephone line
Audio from a telephone line can be obtained using a transformer and capacitor to isolate the line from external equipment. A non-polarized capacitor is placed in series with the transformer line connection to prevent DC current from flowing in the...
