The schematic shown, does no need any power supply because is a simple low frequency passive filter. It could be usefull if you want to drive an extra subwoofer from your stereo system.
Passive subwoofer filter

The circuit filters the frequency ranges above the 150Hz. The schematic is calculated to work with a 50 watts audio amplifier, but can be used with higher powers as well. The frequency can be adjusted with 2k2 potentiometer from 50 Hz to 160 Hz.

Nice Schematic. I think it must be between Pre and Poweramp right? Gru? Niklas

i need subwoffer schematic circuit

To Jezzus...you should know the answer, while you are trying to build a circuit for low power signal part..it means the 10 K Potentiometer is for the voulme level setting, and you dont need any resistor with specal high power. the most output devices provides an output with max 0,1 wat or lower.

What components would you have to change to increase frequency cutoff range to around 400hz?

Where to connect the circuit. i build the circuit and i connect before my sub woofer and also try to connect before my power amplifier input line but the circuit not working if i connect any 10k ,2k2 volume control(preset) please reply i have stereo amp ,sub-woofers 2*240w i want real bass effect

sorry.Rewrite!. Could anyone can tell more details about this circuit were like we have to connect this circuit and how this circuit works, role of each components etc
Trippy wrote on Dec 18, 2009
You would wire this up after you sub PRE-amp but before your sub POWER amp (ie between the two). most setups this will be running between the source unit and the poweramp/subwoofer. In most cases this wire has RCA connections either side. Do NOT wire this after your poweramp.

you should remember that frequency is inversly proportional to passive components lke resistors &capasitors.Use the formula for cutoff freq calculations f=159.2/rc .substitude the resistence &capacitance value directly.
