Category: Automation Circuits / Robotics Views: 3476 Rank: 0 In the never-ending quest for simplicity even one extra diode is a price I loath to pay and to avoid using extra components it struck me that the the two diodes in SIMD1 V1 were connected like the two junctions in one transistor. Eureka! replace two diodes with one transistor to restore the original component. Now one whole transistor is more than the sum of it`s two diode junction parts and on closer examination, it became clear that I had fortuitously solved another problem. visit page.
Related circuits The "Happy Birthday Singer" solar engine The happy-birthday singer is a two bit wide by n words deep programable sequencer with 4 commands: reset to start vector (00), decrease frequency (01),increase frequency (10), and pause (11). The device starts out with a 2 word vector jump at the start of memory which locates 16 positions in it`s... The P5v2 5-motor walker circuit The 74AC240 chips (U1-U5) are used as H-bridge style motor drivers since they have almost double the drive current compared to 74HC240 chips. These motor driver chips are permanently enabled by grounding control pins 1 and 19. The two groups each have four inputs connected in common to a bicore... The original FLED-based SE uses a flashing LED to drive a type 1 solar engine (you`ll note that it`s just like the Zener-based SE, but with a FLED in the starring role). The good news is that all the parts in this solar engine are relatively easy to find; the bad news is that this solar engine... Magnetic proximity sensors Circuit Here is an interesting circuit for a magnetic proximity switch which can be used in various applications. The magnetic proximity switch circuit, in principle, consists of a reed switch at its heart. When a magnet is brought in the vicinity of the sensor (reed switch), it operates and controls the... The sensor is derivated from Mike Gasperi`s Almost Ultrasonic Motion Sensor . We added a forth amplifier-stage. The sensor is equipped with the cheapest crystal microphone. For each ear there are two audio-amplifier stages. The signal passes the diode D7. The positive peak charges C3 which is... Dual Channel Servo Pulse to H-Bridge Interface The interface uses a PIC16F876 microcontroller and not much else. It performs channel mixing, current limiting, and noise rejection. Push the stick forward, both motors move forward, move the stick to the left and the robot moves left. It makes the robot very driveable. You can use a wheel... The PowerSaver Flasher uses capacitive output coupling to produce brighter shorter flashes and has a much lower average current drain than standard bicore or 74HC14 flashers. The PS Flasher with one LED circuit (2 LEDs) runs all night from a 1F capacitor charged to 5.5V. Up to 12 LEDs can be... The GBSE (gate boost solar engine) The Gate Boost SE uses a 1381, a 2N7000 MOSFET and a 2N3906 with a unique voltage doubler to increase the voltage applied to the gate of the MOSFET. Normally the 2.6V output of a 1381C is barely able to turn on the 2N7000. As a result the "on resistance" of the MOSFET is high and much... Comments
