4-Channel Thermocouple Input Arduino(TM) compatible Shields and Boards
This is a complete standalone system compatible with Arduino Uno, which will be fully assembled, tested, and programmed prior to shipping. Users can select from various TC4 applications to be pre-programmed into the board. For those who wish to utilize the TC4 system without purchasing an Arduino board or learning the Arduino programming IDE, the TC4C may be an appropriate option. The package includes the TC4-SMD and all necessary loose hardware to complete the board. The soldering for surface mount chips will be performed, but users will need to solder through-hole components such as pin headers, wire terminals, and the reset button. All items listed in the Bill of Materials (BOM) are included. The fully assembled LCDAPTER-KIT comes with a 16x2 LCD panel (featuring white text on a blue background with a white LED backlight), three LEDs, and four buttons. Additionally, a 6-inch (150mm) long 4-conductor I2C cable is provided to connect the LCDAPTER-COMPLETE to the I2C header included with every TC4 device. Options available include tall keypad buttons for panel mounting and a female connector socket for piggyback mounting on the TC4C board, both offered at no extra cost. An AC zero-cross detector is also included, which is essential for applications that require the identification of moments when AC voltage crosses zero, and is designed to operate on both nominal 120V and 240V mains.
The described system is a versatile and user-friendly platform for various applications, particularly in educational and prototyping environments. The Arduino Uno compatibility ensures that users can leverage a vast ecosystem of libraries and community support, facilitating rapid development and deployment of projects. The pre-assembly and programming of the TC4 applications significantly reduce the barrier to entry for users who may not have extensive experience with electronics or programming.
The inclusion of the LCDAPTER-KIT enhances user interaction with the system, allowing for real-time data display and user input through the buttons. The 16x2 LCD panel is a standard choice for many applications, providing clear visibility of information. The integration of I2C communication simplifies wiring and allows for easy expansion of the system with additional I2C-compatible devices.
The AC zero-cross detector is a critical component for applications involving AC signal processing, enabling precise timing for control applications such as phase control in dimmers or motor speed control. This feature is particularly beneficial in energy management systems and automation projects where accurate timing is essential.
Overall, this Arduino-compatible standalone system offers a comprehensive solution for hobbyists and professionals alike, combining ease of use, flexibility, and essential functionalities in a single package. This is a complete Arduino Uno-compatible standalone system, and will be fully assembled, tested, and programmed before shipping. You may choose one of several TC4 applications to be pre-programmed into the board. If you would like to use the TC4 system, but do not wish to purchase an Arduino board and then install and learn the Arduino progamming
IDE, then the TC4C might be a good choice. *(Please see note at the bottom of this table). TC4-SMD, plus all loose hardware required to complete the board. The soldering for the surface mount chips will be done for you, but you will have to solder the through hole components (pin headers, wire terminals, and reset button). Everything on the BOM is included. Fully assembled LCDAPTER-KIT, plus 16x2 LCD panel (white text on blue background w/white LED backlight), 3 LED`s, and 4 buttons.
Also includes 6 inch (150mm) long 4-conductor I2C cable for connecting the LCDAPTER-COMPLETE to the I2C header that is included with every TC4 device. Options include tall keypad buttons for panel mounting, and female connector socket for piggyback mounting on TC4C board.
